When he went outside after a long rain, he saw a town taken over by the Worst, nocturnal creatures that are born from human corpses and can regenerate even after being dismembered. A dreadful virus was mixed in the rain that killed humans and turned them into Worst. While fighting off the Worst, Eiji found survivors including Taku Maejima, a young boy, Harry, an American soldier, and Tozaki, a delinquent student, and they hid in the Kasumigaseki Building as a fortress.","published":{"start_date":"1970-03-09","end_date":"1971-08-16","start_date_is_estimated":false,"end_date_is_estimated":false},"status":"completed","is_licensed":false,"content_rating":"safe","type":"manga","original_language":"ja","rating":null,"popularity":{"global":{"current":123377,"history":{"1d":123468,"1w":123403,"1mo":122325,"3mo":121842,"6mo":97990,"1y":71476}},"type":{"current":83083,"history":{"1d":83148,"1w":83123,"1mo":82386,"3mo":81496,"6mo":65808,"1y":53942}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-14T04:53:17.641Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":147044,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"anime_planet":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"anime_news_network":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"dmag7kr","rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"my_anime_list":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"shikimori":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null}},"publishers":[{"id":5556,"name":"Asahi Sonorama","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/5556/Asahi-Sonorama","language":"ja","note":"1976, 2000"},{"id":35,"name":"Shueisha","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/35/Shueisha","language":"ja","note":"1970"},{"id":5066,"name":"Wakabasha Shuppan","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/5066/Wakabasha-Shuppan","language":"ja","note":"1989"}],"rating_count":0,"final_volume":4,"total_chapters":37,"titles":[{"language":"ja-Latn","traits":["native"],"title":"Worst","is_primary":true},{"language":"en","traits":[],"title":"WORST","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja","traits":["native"],"title":"ワースト","is_primary":true}],"cover":{"raw":"https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/manga/cover/large/bx147044-IISTmH8lb9eY.jpg","x150":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x150@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0NzA0NC1JSVNUbUg4bGI5ZVkuanBn","x250":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x250@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0NzA0NC1JSVNUbUg4bGI5ZVkuanBn","x350":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x350@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0NzA0NC1JSVNUbUg4bGI5ZVkuanBn","blurhash":"|YI#DTGFX9i_Xlt6ozS4R-y;#Rtks:S~W.X7sns:%1oISgRjt5S}j]jZW;IER-V[bJS1xFbFa#f69$WYnhoersNce.j@aePTs.RQWVnijbr@W;f7PSRjjHkDjGsTR*ayn*Kij[xGk9aLRlr@oeayIVWVSNoMjunin%WqoM","width":460,"height":711},"anime":{"exists":false,"start":null,"end":null}}}
