South Korea's representative S-Class Esper, Cha Jae-U, had a problem: after he gained his powers, he couldn't find a guide who had a high match rate with him.\n\nThus, it was mandated that all citizens must take the guide test.\n\n\"No way... I really hope this is not the case, but...\"\n\"Haa...\"\n\"...Is it Cha Jae-U?\"\n\nHae-Yul took the test, thinking he might as well get it over with, and he set a record of an unprecedented 97.8% match rate with Cha Jae-U!\n\n\"So what? I'm a D-Class...!\"\n\nCha Jae-U was an S-Class Esper who had never received proper guiding before and was on the verge of exploding, while Hae-Yul was a pathetic D-Class Guide. Wouldn't even something like going after a boss monster as soon as you select your character be a better choice than that? Hae-Yul was about to refuse, having lost all energy at the thought that he might die, but...\n\n\"If a guide for Esper Cha Jae-U doesn't appear, then he will be killed.\"\n'...A-Are they insane?'\n\nJust who was he worrying about, when he might die if he accepted? But after hearing that if he didn't become Cha Jae-U's guide, the Esper would die, Hae-Yul swallowed his tears and signed the contract.\n\n\"Um... I already did today's amount this morning...\"\n\"That's it?\"\n\"That's the best I can do...\"\n\nAfterward, Hae-Yul lived in one house with Cha Jae-U and a particle-sized amount of mana. He ended up guiding him once a day, but...\n\n(Source: Ridibooks, translated)\n\n*Note: This is a promotional one-shot for a web novel of the same name.*","published":{"start_date":"2022-02-04","end_date":"2022-02-04","start_date_is_estimated":false,"end_date_is_estimated":false},"status":"completed","is_licensed":false,"content_rating":"safe","type":"manhwa","original_language":"ko","rating":65.3333333333333,"popularity":{"global":{"current":49809,"history":{"1d":49802,"1w":49981,"1mo":49578,"3mo":45521,"6mo":61333,"1y":45025}},"type":{"current":10323,"history":{"1d":10322,"1w":10326,"1mo":10195,"3mo":9272,"6mo":8207,"1y":6661}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-15T01:58:05.664Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":147962,"rating":6,"rating_normalized":60},"anime_planet":{"id":"a-survival-guide-for-d-class-guides-promo","rating":3.5,"rating_normalized":70},"anime_news_network":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"9gbu9g0","rating":6.6,"rating_normalized":66},"my_anime_list":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"shikimori":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null}},"publishers":[{"id":2508,"name":"Ridibooks","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/2508/Ridibooks","language":"ko","note":null}],"rating_count":38,"final_volume":null,"total_chapters":1,"titles":[{"language":"en","traits":[],"title":"A Survival Guide for D-Class Guides (Pre-serialization)","is_primary":true},{"language":"ko","traits":["native"],"title":"D급 가이드 생존 수칙","is_primary":true},{"language":"ko-Latn","traits":["native"],"title":"D-geup Guide Saengjon Suchik","is_primary":true},{"language":"zh","traits":[],"title":"D级向导生存守则 (Pre-serialization)","is_primary":true},{"language":"th","traits":[],"title":"กลยุทธ์เอาตัวรอดฉบับไกด์คลาสดี (Pre-serialization)","is_primary":true}],"cover":{"raw":"https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/manga/cover/large/bx147962-ir6sVBUVsJWF.jpg","x150":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x150@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0Nzk2Mi1pcjZzVkJVVnNKV0YuanBn","x250":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x250@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0Nzk2Mi1pcjZzVkJVVnNKV0YuanBn","x350":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x350@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDE0Nzk2Mi1pcjZzVkJVVnNKV0YuanBn","blurhash":"|LD9u800R*t6ozM{xu%3RjIUxuj[xufjWBofj[WBIn-pIUxvofofRkfiof%MWAxvD%xaj[j[ofofIUofxuWBt7RjWBoLayfiazWBj]Rjt7RjWUayRQayfQRjWBWBt7WBWBt7M{fPt6RjRjofWBWBofM{t7RjWBj[ayayWB","width":460,"height":690},"anime":{"exists":false,"start":null,"end":null}}}
