But afterward, countless calamities befell the world, spirit qi waned, and the immortals vanished. In their absence, the Heavenly Demon emerged once more, infiltrating the mortal realm with the identity of a god.       \nSlightly over a hundred and sixty years ago, a divine artifact descended. The fertile Chipa Plateau withered, and the once-unconquerable Panlong Ancient City fell to ruin.      \nNow, I have descended upon this world!     \nFollowing the traces left behind by the immortals, I shall defy the fate that was set for me at birth! I shall unravel the mysteries surrounding immortals and demons...     \nAnd it all begins with returning to Panlong City, to witness and experience its turbulent, tragic history.  \nP.S. This is a discovery-driven story with no omniscient voice. The truths of the world reveal themselves only as discoveries are made. This novel is steeped in lived‑in history and free of worn‑out tropes.\n\n[Original Novel](https://www.qidian.com/book/1033991975/)     \n\n**Official English:**   \n[WuxiaWorld](https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/where-immortals-once-walked), [Webnovel](https://www.webnovel.com/book/after-the-immortal-disappeared_35744067500591105)","published":{"start_date":"2022-01-01","end_date":null,"start_date_is_estimated":true,"end_date_is_estimated":null},"status":"releasing","is_licensed":true,"content_rating":"safe","type":"novel","original_language":"zh-Hans-CN","rating":null,"popularity":{"global":{"current":143431,"history":{"1d":143479,"1w":143195,"1mo":142488,"3mo":130199,"6mo":null,"1y":null}},"type":{"current":17566,"history":{"1d":17570,"1w":17552,"1mo":17495,"3mo":17433,"6mo":null,"1y":null}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-01T14:24:26.940Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"anime_planet":{"id":"where-immortals-once-walked-novel","rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"anime_news_network":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"ve9q3wz","rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"my_anime_list":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"shikimori":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null}},"publishers":[{"id":1520,"name":"China Literature","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/1520/China-Literature","language":"zh-Hans-CN","note":null},{"id":3028,"name":"Qidian","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/3028/Qidian","language":"zh-Hans-CN","note":null},{"id":4846,"name":"Webnovel","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/4846/Webnovel","language":"en","note":null},{"id":4309,"name":"WuxiaWorld","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/4309/WuxiaWorld","language":"en","note":null}],"rating_count":0,"final_volume":null,"total_chapters":2660,"titles":[{"language":"en","traits":[],"title":"Where Immortals Once Walked","is_primary":true},{"language":"zh","traits":[],"title":"仙人消失之后","is_primary":true}],"cover":{"raw":"https://ap-proxy.mangabaka.dev/proxy.php?url=https://cdn.anime-planet.com/manga/primary/where-immortals-once-walked-novel-1.webp?t=1763147903","x150":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x150@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9hcC1wcm94eS5tYW5nYWJha2EuZGV2L3Byb3h5LnBocD91cmw9aHR0cHM6Ly9jZG4uYW5pbWUtcGxhbmV0LmNvbS9tYW5nYS9wcmltYXJ5L3doZXJlLWltbW9ydGFscy1vbmNlLXdhbGtlZC1ub3ZlbC0xLndlYnA_dD0xNzYzMTQ3OTAz","x250":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x250@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9hcC1wcm94eS5tYW5nYWJha2EuZGV2L3Byb3h5LnBocD91cmw9aHR0cHM6Ly9jZG4uYW5pbWUtcGxhbmV0LmNvbS9tYW5nYS9wcmltYXJ5L3doZXJlLWltbW9ydGFscy1vbmNlLXdhbGtlZC1ub3ZlbC0xLndlYnA_dD0xNzYzMTQ3OTAz","x350":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x350@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9hcC1wcm94eS5tYW5nYWJha2EuZGV2L3Byb3h5LnBocD91cmw9aHR0cHM6Ly9jZG4uYW5pbWUtcGxhbmV0LmNvbS9tYW5nYS9wcmltYXJ5L3doZXJlLWltbW9ydGFscy1vbmNlLXdhbGtlZC1ub3ZlbC0xLndlYnA_dD0xNzYzMTQ3OTAz","blurhash":"|LI#f9nmRQM{E0ozWB%MWB]Qa0WUjdt7oMR*aeaxy@oZkqj0R.nijZaes.Vs%MX8ocaxjrWXxGoM%3ozIpxan+ofoKoIWBr]a$NGWAjYWBt7spt7MeRPjZogxtWVWBn%f6xFVtkBt7ofWWayn$WUMfxaoen$j?R*o2afkC","width":300,"height":400},"anime":{"exists":false,"start":null,"end":null}}}
