But sadly, his drawings didn’t suddenly spring to life—the girl’s a gahi, a tentacled yokai who eats artwork and turns it into suits of skin, which she then wears like a glove. “Ruki” is hooked on the taste of his pen, and will do anythingto get more! Is this girl(?) a worthless freeloader, or could a formless entity actually be the perfect model?\n\n*Source: Yen Press, Vol. 1*","published":{"start_date":"2020-09-26","end_date":"2024-03-27","start_date_is_estimated":false,"end_date_is_estimated":false},"status":"completed","is_licensed":true,"content_rating":"suggestive","type":"manga","original_language":"ja","rating":63.28,"popularity":{"global":{"current":12900,"history":{"1d":12955,"1w":13019,"1mo":12529,"3mo":11816,"6mo":7721,"1y":13980}},"type":{"current":8626,"history":{"1d":8666,"1w":8738,"1mo":8494,"3mo":8239,"6mo":5671,"1y":11272}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-14T00:38:03.915Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":124671,"rating":5.8,"rating_normalized":58},"anime_planet":{"id":"gahi-chan","rating":3.5,"rating_normalized":70},"anime_news_network":{"id":25803,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":58675,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"3dqmb9v","rating":6.13,"rating_normalized":61},"my_anime_list":{"id":130280,"rating":6.34,"rating_normalized":63},"shikimori":{"id":130280,"rating":6.37,"rating_normalized":64}},"publishers":[{"id":5244,"name":"ASCII Media Works","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/5244/ASCII-Media-Works","language":"ja","note":null},{"id":18,"name":"Yen Press","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/18/Yen-Press","language":"en","note":"4 Volumes; Completed"}],"rating_count":585,"final_volume":4,"total_chapters":38,"titles":[{"language":"en","traits":["official"],"title":"Gahi-chan!","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja-Latn","traits":["native"],"title":"Gahi-chan!","is_primary":true},{"language":"ru","traits":[],"title":"Гахи-чан!","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja","traits":["native"],"title":"画皮ちゃん！","is_primary":true},{"language":"zh","traits":[],"title":"画皮酱","is_primary":true}],"cover":{"raw":"https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/manga/cover/large/bx124671-5IqiFG2qoXgY.png","x150":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x150@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDEyNDY3MS01SXFpRkcycW9YZ1kucG5n","x250":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x250@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDEyNDY3MS01SXFpRkcycW9YZ1kucG5n","x350":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x350@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDEyNDY3MS01SXFpRkcycW9YZ1kucG5n","blurhash":"|QNvoT9^E1-poHjct5%1jXyr-paJNIxVf+s.W=s.9GE2oIxbjDkCNHW=R%~T?bW;XUs8n+M|WBWBW,ozt8ofozaeR.s-WCR,IUI=oJV[xtSitQa$x]xCWDW.M{V?oNoebIMdkWo#nhV@M_RkjFt6oHjFXAxtRiodkCj?t6","width":460,"height":654},"anime":{"exists":false,"start":null,"end":null}}}
