In the Japan of Eri Sakai’s thought experiment, ten years have passed since the male sex has spontaneously gained the ability to get pregnant, and society has struggled to adjust. Kentaro isn’t sure at first who the mother might be, and quickly finds himself butting up against regressive attitudes and discriminatory policies—most of which long precede male pregnancy. In his previous life, he’d never given any of it a second thought—he may have even held the same views. But through his encounters with other pregnant people, and galvanized by his new perspective, Kentaro turns his skills in business and marketing to effecting social change. \n\n(Source: Kodansha USA) \n\n*Note: Includes 1 extra chapter.*","published":{"start_date":"2012-08-11","end_date":"2023-02-01","start_date_is_estimated":false,"end_date_is_estimated":false},"status":"completed","is_licensed":true,"content_rating":"safe","type":"manga","original_language":"ja","rating":66.3,"popularity":{"global":{"current":23928,"history":{"1d":24018,"1w":23913,"1mo":23195,"3mo":22117,"6mo":32502,"1y":24015}},"type":{"current":16172,"history":{"1d":16240,"1w":16202,"1mo":15820,"3mo":15432,"6mo":24219,"1y":19109}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-14T03:57:13.553Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":141492,"rating":6.5,"rating_normalized":65},"anime_planet":{"id":"hes-expecting","rating":3.6,"rating_normalized":72},"anime_news_network":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":63239,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"n1c4qz9","rating":6.23,"rating_normalized":62},"my_anime_list":{"id":135492,"rating":6.6,"rating_normalized":66},"shikimori":{"id":135492,"rating":6.62,"rating_normalized":66}},"publishers":[{"id":32,"name":"Kodansha","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/32/Kodansha","language":"ja","note":null},{"id":13,"name":"Kodansha USA","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/13/Kodansha-USA","language":"en","note":"November 2023 - Digital"}],"rating_count":446,"final_volume":2,"total_chapters":9,"titles":[{"language":"ko","traits":[],"title":"히야마 켄타로의 임신","is_primary":true},{"language":"vi","traits":[],"title":"Anh ấy có bầu","is_primary":true},{"language":"hu","traits":[],"title":"A terhes férfi","is_primary":true},{"language":"cs","traits":[],"title":"Chlap v očekávání","is_primary":true},{"language":"es-la","traits":[],"title":"El embarazo de Kentaro","is_primary":true},{"language":"en","traits":["official"],"title":"He’s Expecting","is_primary":true},{"language":"de","traits":[],"title":"He's Expecting - Seine erste Schwangerschaft","is_primary":true},{"language":"it","traits":[],"title":"Hiyama Kentaro è incinto","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja-Latn","traits":["native"],"title":"Hiyama Kentarou no Ninshin","is_primary":true},{"language":"es","traits":[],"title":"Kentaro está embarazado","is_primary":true},{"language":"hr","traits":[],"title":"Kentaro Hiyama je trudan","is_primary":true},{"language":"pt-br","traits":[],"title":"Kentaro Hiyama: O Homem que Engravidou","is_primary":true},{"language":"fr","traits":[],"title":"La Grossesse de M.
