The instrument of destruction is a device resembling a large black ball with two antennae that is variously called an anti-proton bomb, a solar bomb, and a neutron bomb. Although the three agents (Captain Bokko, Nokko, and Pukko) are originally humanoid in appearance, upon arrival on Earth they take on the appearances of a rabbit (Bokko), a horse (Nokko), and a duck (Pukko) that they had captured as examples of Earth life forms. While on Earth they travel in a tire-shaped vehicle capable of enormous speeds called the Big Wheel, which can travel on both land and water (and, with modifications, through the air). \n\nThe series tackles a number of issues which were surprisingly progressive for a manga of that period; particularly ecological concerns and poverty.\n\n(Source: DMG)","published":{"start_date":"1965-05-30","end_date":"1966-05-08","start_date_is_estimated":false,"end_date_is_estimated":false},"status":"completed","is_licensed":true,"content_rating":"safe","type":"manga","original_language":"ja","rating":70.82,"popularity":{"global":{"current":30621,"history":{"1d":30568,"1w":30466,"1mo":30083,"3mo":28479,"6mo":29353,"1y":20937}},"type":{"current":20747,"history":{"1d":20706,"1w":20669,"1mo":20523,"3mo":19847,"6mo":21865,"1y":16736}}},"last_updated_at":"2026-10-14T11:14:56.141Z","source":{"anilist":{"id":52300,"rating":7.5,"rating_normalized":75},"anime_planet":{"id":"wonder-3","rating":3.6,"rating_normalized":72},"anime_news_network":{"id":null,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"kitsu":{"id":13252,"rating":null,"rating_normalized":null},"manga_updates":{"id":"u66ye7u","rating":6.81,"rating_normalized":68},"my_anime_list":{"id":22300,"rating":7,"rating_normalized":70},"shikimori":{"id":22300,"rating":6.9,"rating_normalized":69}},"publishers":[{"id":43,"name":"Akita Publishing","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/43/Akita-Publishing","language":"ja","note":"1968, 1989, 1993, 1995"},{"id":49,"name":"DMP","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/49/DMP","language":"en","note":"3 Volumes - Complete"},{"id":2227,"name":"Kawade Shobo Shinsha","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/2227/Kawade-Shobo-Shinsha","language":"ja","note":"1999"},{"id":32,"name":"Kodansha","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/32/Kodansha","language":"ja","note":"1980, 2009"},{"id":4531,"name":"Shogakukan","canonical_url":"https://mangabaka.org/publisher/4531/Shogakukan","language":"ja","note":null}],"rating_count":493,"final_volume":3,"total_chapters":49,"titles":[{"language":"en","traits":["official"],"title":"Wonder 3","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja-Latn","traits":["native"],"title":"Wonder 3","is_primary":true},{"language":"ja","traits":["native"],"title":"ワンダー3","is_primary":true},{"language":"ru","traits":[],"title":"Удивительная троица","is_primary":true}],"cover":{"raw":"https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/manga/cover/large/bx52300-y0EsXP1dRrDs.jpg","x150":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x150@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDUyMzAwLXkwRXNYUDFkUnJEcy5qcGc","x250":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x250@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDUyMzAwLXkwRXNYUDFkUnJEcy5qcGc","x350":"https://cdn.mangabaka.dev/imgproxy/plain/x350@1/aHR0cHM6Ly9zNC5hbmlsaXN0LmNvL2ZpbGUvYW5pbGlzdGNkbi9tZWRpYS9tYW5nYS9jb3Zlci9sYXJnZS9ieDUyMzAwLXkwRXNYUDFkUnJEcy5qcGc","blurhash":"|MFO[#RVShx[Mvt7tPf#M_L4T0oNaKi]t6aInhs8IUs=oeR-bJNFadocM|MbR.obbHS8aebwk8ogEISOaKRjSkxaV[skt7rUsWX8WYo$WAR+oyWCIpozWUaLn%WUkBaes:n-aeogbbbDj[oKoJS1NdRjWsofwtofWUW;jY","width":460,"height":731},"anime":{"exists":true,"start":null,"end":null}}}
